Welcome Wednesday - Clarisa Vollmar

Today's Welcome Wednesday is Clarisa Vollmar. This 'lil cutie was born Deafblind. Both her parents are Deaf-Sighted. When they couldn't find any guidelines or helpful tips and videos on raising a Deafblind child, they decided to start a foundation to fund Clarisa's many needs, make videos for other parents, and provide funds for other Deafblind children.

they need to get in touch with their state's deafblind services department and the early intervention program for their region of the state. There is also the national family association of deaf blind. they work with parents who have deafblind children.
When you have a child with a disability for the first ten years or so it seems like all you do is go from one agency to the next. There are resources out there hellen keller national center, db link... all with great support and information for the taking. I wish the family the best!
